| It was my first time reading a script! And my first time acting when the camera was rolling.
And I wasn't nervous or trembling.
I had overcome my fear. I used to tremble and talked real quick when I was interviewed before a live camera.
I wasn't worry if I get selected or not, because I had won myself.

The same thought but we execute it differently....
(BUT I appreciate and I am happy, we are the same level, and I am glad isn't it)
I am a Chinese, why do I have an English name?
My thoughts:
Whenever I hear my friends introduce themselves, those with chinese name always intrigue me
Like Ai Lian, Jia Yin. Beautiful meaningful names.
I keep mine a secret... I only tell people when they asked and I always make sure they understand the characters of my name.
I don't allow many to know by my Chinese name partly because I want special people to know...and they do remember...(I don't want anyone to abuse my name)
Secondly my Chinese name was always being teased, I don't like people to tease the name my dad gave to me! Such a beautiful name and they tarnished it!
Hence I named myself Shannen when I was 13. I named my sister Shanice as well.
(So I am protecting my Chinese name and make sure people I introduce to are my close real friends, and not those hi-byes...)
I just want you to know I am always proud of my Chinese origins and Name. I also know my background and history of my forefathers. (who knows their history before their grandparents? )
I even highlight to D.Khoo about the talents being used...media is giving people the wrong impression you need to be pan-asian, mix or caucasian to be beautiful.
When people commented I am pretty and I looked mixed...I will feel pretty annoyed...
Must we mix ourselves so we can be beautiful? All these pressure found in only Asian countries...
We should be proud and feel beautiful because we are out here to make a difference.
Be proud of your own skin and don't pretend to be someone else...
All these are subjective and I have my own beliefs.
My model name is Kai, part of my Chinese name.
And when I take part in competitions, I put my actual name.

| It will be my first audition...next monday.
It's a company which produce a second series for My world My Blog, a docu-drama for the last series, but this series will be more about drama that exploring the youth world....
Storyline: mainly somebody spying on me...and fall in love with me secretly...
It be a good experience if I get it.
And filming start next weekend....
